For Illinois residents, there is an Illinois One Click College Admit program that simplifies admission to certain Illinois public universities by eliminating essay, letter of recommendations, and application fees.

Eligibility for this program requires two conditions:

  • Illinois residency
  • A specific GPA, which varies depending on the college

Colleges participating in the One Click College Admit program include:

  • Chicago State University
  • Eastern Illinois University
  • Governors State University
  • Northeastern Illinois University
  • Northern Illinois University
  • Southern Illinois University Carbondale
  • Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
  • Western Illinois University

To participate in the program, follow these steps:

  1. Create an account on the Common App.

2. Set up your profile by entering your home address and GPA.

3. Check your direct admission offers in the dashboard.

4. Apply to the university that sent you a direct admission offer (complete the official application and submit all required documentation) through the Common App. Application fees are waived for all direct admission applications.

5. After the college reviews your application, they will send you a formal admission offer. This offer is non-binding, allowing you to decide later whether to enroll.
